Hey what's up guys I'm TechGC here and we're back and yeah you got me this is about OnePlus8 Pro and I gotta say they did it they finally did it they just went ahead and made a flagship like a bonafide complete feeling flagship phone finally now there are still a few snags and I will nitpick about those because that's what you do with a $899 phone.
As you know the Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus launched 2 new phones recently in the market and they are OnePlus 8 and the one plus 8 pro
The OnePlus 8 pro is the most expensive phone of the company OnePlus 8 Pro
As this smartphone support 5G and is powered by the fastest processor which is Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and it has IP certification for water resistance, a total of four cameras -- one at 48 megapixels -- and a bigger, 120Hz display. Available starting April 22
Now let's see what these specs cost
The Prices starts at $899 (£799) for 128GB storage and $999 (£899) for 256GB. (Australian prices aren't yet available, but £799 converts to roughly AU$1,570.) The OnePlus 8 starts at $699 (£599).
So these are the full specifications for the new OnePlus 8 Pro
ONEPLUS 8 PRO SPECS
+FOR
- One of the best displays around
- 5G and plenty of power
- Reverse & fast wireless charging
−AGAINST
- Most expensive OnePlus yet
- Sizable rear camera bump
- Less storage base model vs 7T Pro
The OnePlus 8 Pro will be available in the number of global market including
China,India and 27 European Countries
Though the phone's starting price is about $100 cheaper than the Galaxy S20 -- it's still expensive by OnePlus' standards. When the company first launched in 2014, it priced its premium phones aggressively.
But, the OnePlus 8 Pro is an excellent phone. Its camera works great, it has a fast and powerful processor and I welcome its newer features, which include wireless charging and reverse wireless charging
Display 120Hz Buttery Smooth Display
- 6.78-inch, 1440 x 3168 QHD+, 19.8:9, 513ppi, 120Hz, HDR10+
- OnePlus says its 'Fluid Display' is "the best screen you'll see all year"
- High refresh rate and video and it's great for gaming but most of games doesn't even support 90Hz but it's Great!!
The display , it's the part for which the company is proud and it has been only 4 months of 2020 and we can say that it's the best display ever on smartphone
Its 6.78-inch size, 1440 x 3168 QHD+ resolution, tall 19.8:9 aspect ratio and 513ppi pixel density are par for the course when it comes to flagship smartphones these days, but the OnePlus 8 Pro panel goes further.
The 120Hz display just feels like watching in 4k as it makes scrolling web pages and scrolling through the app drawer buttery smooth as there is a little bit difference in OnePlus 8 90Hz display but OnePlus 8 Pro display sometimes is more smooth
The time comes when it goes back to 60Hz to save up the Battery but OnePlus has said that they have done optimization to save the battery life even on 120Hz
After years of making its phones water resistant to some degree but forgoing a full IP rating certification, the OnePlus 8 Pro is rated IP68 -- meaning it can be submerged in about three feet of water for at least 30 minutes. It's Great that OnePlus has done some great work this year .The added a great new camera , wireless charging and yeah the IP68 water resistant
The OnePlus says the display is most color accurate and it is but the the display is brighter than the last year smartphone
The phone also have the in-Display fingerprint which is not that fast but still it is reliable
The edges of the smartphone is curved it looks great but there are some accidental touches
DESIGN
The OnePlus 8 Pro just feels like any other flagship smartphone and it just feels familiar because they still have their logo on the back and things like alert slider which is good thing.

It also comes with a curved display with a matte finish back which is just awesome , I'm not a huge fan of the matte back glass but this one is really good so the design is I think is good but there is some problem with the camera bump which is pretty big and its gonna annoy you when you put your phone on table but you can just simply put a case and its good to go now.
CAMERA
- 4 rear cameras: 48MP Ultra-wide, 48MP main, telephoto, color filter
- Biggest camera upgrade ever for a OnePlus phone
They removed the pop up camera this year and added the punch hole camera in the display
On the back of the phone you'll get quad camera setup which is the first time OnePlus has added to their smartphone, the camera is great and it takes super sharp images and in general the camera took excellent photos outdoor
The conrast and colors are bit punched but overall this year the camera is good very good
The 48MP camera takes a lot of details and the camera also has a 30x and 10x and 3x Zoom which is quite good in a smartphone which has quad camera
BATTERY LIFE
So when it comes to the battery the phone is packed with a 4,510mAH battery which is OnePlus biggest battery and could easily lasts one day
The phone has wireless charging this year and as you all know the OnePlus smartphones with very fast wired chargers and this year OnePlus has upgraded their Warp charging 30T and it charges the phone from 0% to 50% in just 23 minutes . Quite Fast
So the battery can easily last up to one day with a normal usage, But the battery does seem drain faster when you turn on the video enhancements
But, the best part is that the OnePlus included their wireless charger in the box which charges the phone from 1% to 50% in 30 minutes , the wireless charger is also fast than the apple basic charger
There is a new feature that your OnePlus detect when its night which will reduce the speed of charging
Another new feature is the reverse wireless charging which is already in the Samsung smart phones but yeah it's a great feature and you can use it
So for the conclusion it is a great phone buy the OnePlus this year and it's not a phone for you if you are looking for affordable phone but if you want a phone with best display and best in everything so this is the phone for you!
